  1. STREET LIGHTS AT MOTSEKHUA.
    Hon. L. Hlapisi (’Maliepetsane): To ask the Minister of Natural
    Resources, if he is aware that the street lights at Motsekuoa spend long
    periods of time without being operational, and that this leads to
    increased incidences of crime; and if so, how soon the Minister will
    consider installing high-mast flood lights (Li-Apollo) in the village.
  2. PROVISION OF ELECTRICITY.
    Hon. L. Hlapisi (’Maliepetsane): To ask the Minister of Natural
    Resources, if he is aware of the need to provide electricity to the
    following villages :
    (i) Tajane Moreneng
    (ii) Ha Tapole
    (iii) Ha Ramahotetsa
    (iv) Ha Lesaoana
    (v) Ha Koki
    (vi) Khohlong
    (vii) Liforong
    (viii) Ha Nkafane
    (ix) Ha Rakhoboso
    (x) Metlaeeng
    and if so, how soon the Minister will intervene.
  3. NEW PAY-POINT FOR OLD-AGE PENSIONERS.
    Hon. L. Hlapisi ( ’Maliepetsane): To ask the Minister of Gender, Youth,
    Sports, Arts, Culture and Social Development, to say how soon old age
    pensioners whose pay-point is at Ha – Nkeo, Moreneng will have their
    pay-point transferred to Ribaneng as floods have washed away the
    footbridge at Makhaleng River and there are no roads for vehicles
    headed for the village.
  4. NEED FOR ELECTRICITY: MPHOSONG CONSTITUENCY.
    Hon. M. Ntšekhe (Mphosong): To ask the Minister of Natural
    Resources, if he is aware that the following villages in Mphosong
    Constituency have no electricity supply:
    (i) Ha Botšo
    (ii) Ha Tefo
    (iii) Ha Monate
    (iv) Ha Rantšala
    (v) Tiping
    (vi) Hlokoa- Le- Monate
    (vii) Phomolong
    (viii) Pontšeng
    (ix) Pae-la-itlhatsoa
    (x) ’Mamanka
    (xi) Sekoaing
    (xii) Ha Khopa
    (xiii) Phamong
    (xiv) Chabatsane
    (xv) Nkoeng
    (xvi) Ha Letele
    (xvii) Ha Mahlehle
    (xviii)Ha Koasa
    (xix) Ha Mashoongane and
    (xx) Ha Sekhonyana
    if he is aware, how soon will the said villages be supplied with
    electricity.
  5. NEED TO APPOINT A DCS IN MOKHOTLONG.
    Hon. M. Ramakalima (Malingoaneng): To ask the Minster of Local
    Government, Chieftainship, Home Affairs and Police, is he is aware
    that there is need to employ a District Council Secretary (DCS) in
    Mokhotlong as the lack of greatly compromises services in the district;
    and if so, how soon the Minister will intervene.
  6. PROVISION OF CLASSROOMS AT QHOBOSHEANENG
    PRIMARY SCHOOL.

    Hon. L. Moloi (Lebakeng): To ask the Minister of Education and
    Training, if he is aware that the buildings of Qhobosheaneng Primary
    School in Lebakeng Constituency were destroyed by strong winds and
    currently lessons are held out in the open; and if so, how soon the
    Minister will intervene.
  7. NEED FOR A ROAD AND BRIDGES.
    Hon. M. Lempe (Kolonyama): To ask the Minister of Local
    Government, Chieftainship, Home Affairs and Police, if he is aware
    that in Fobane, Ha Ramohai there are no roads; and also that there is
    need for a heavy usage bridge as well as footbridges to enable school
    children of Ha Ramohai to access the school at Ha- Hlajoane when the
    rivers and streams are full.
  8. INFORMATION REGARDING CASE NO.CIV/APN/55/2023.
    Hon. M. S. Lehata (Makhaleng) : To ask the Deputy Prime Minister,
    and Minister of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, to shed some
    light to this Honourable House on how Webber Newdigate Attorneys
    was recruited regarding case No. CIV/APN/55/2023; and to say
    whether there were no local law firms which could handle the case; and
    to also provide the agreement between the Government of Lesotho and
    Webber Law Firm regarding the fees, and disclose the amount of
    money paid by the Government or still owed to the firm up to-date.
  9. INFORMATION REGARDING SOFTWARE SERVICES
    PROVISION TO THE LESOTHO GOVERNMENT.
    Hon. T. Mokhosi (PR): To ask the Minister of Information,
    Communications, Science, Technology and Innovation, to shed some
    light to this Honourable House regarding the software packages being
    used by Government Departments and Agencies:
    (i) the types of software used and the company or companies
    responsible for providing them;
    (ii) the places where these companies are based;
    (iii) the amount of money paid for each software package;
    (iv) the amount of money paid for software licenses; and
    (v) whether it is the opinion or findings of the Government
    that there are no Basotho owned software companies
    capable of providing these services.
  10. SUBSIDY FOR HA MOHLOKAQALA COMMUNITY.
    Hon. M. Lempe (Kolonyama): To ask the Minister of Natural
    Resources, if he is aware that the community of Ha Mohlokaqala paid
    for the process of drawing electricity for a distance of 3km to their
    village under a scheme they have formed; and if so, will the Minister
    reward their efforts by subsidizing access to the electricity by different
    households.
  11. NEW LATRINES FOR MOLALA-PERE SCHOOL.
    Hon. M. Lempe (Kolonyama) : To ask the Minister of Education and
    Training, if he is aware of the need to provide new latrines to MolalaPere School in Fobane as the current ones are not only ancient but are
    also full to overflowing; and if so, how soon the Minister will intervene.
  12. UNPAID TERMINAL BENEFITS.
    Hon. M. Mpobole (PR) : To ask the Minister of Health, is he is aware
    that Ms Mpho Manama (employment no. HP/0235736) who worked in
    the Ministry of Health retired on 08/04/2022 but has to-date not
    received her terminal benefits; and if so, how soon the Minister will
    intervene.
  13. OUTSTANDING PAYMENT OF TERMINAL BENEFITS: MR.
    TIEHO TSUINYANE.

    Hon. M. Mpobole (PR) : To ask the Minister of Health, if he is aware
    that to-date Mr. Tieho Tsuinyane (employment no. HP/0227716 who
    worked in the Ministry of Health and went on retirement on 27/12/2021
    has to-date not received his terminal benefits; and if so, how soon he
    will intervene.
  14. NEED FOR A GROUNDSKEEPER – PEKA HEALTH CENTER.
    Hon. M. Mpobole (PR) : To ask the Minister of Health, is he is aware
    that at the Peka Health Center there is no groundskeeper to ensure the
    cleanliness and upkeep of clinic grounds; and if so, how soon the
    6Minister will intervene as health centers should act as good examples
    to the general public.
  15. INCOMPLETE CONSTRUCTION OF FOOT-BRIDGE.
    Hon. T. Mosotho (Semena) : To ask the Minister of Public Works and
    Transport, if he is aware that construction of the foot-bridge over Senqu
    River, which joins the villages of Mpokochela in Semena Constituency
    and Seroala-nkhoana in Mashai Constituency was left incomplete with
    just one pillar standing in the middle of the River; and if so, how soon
    construction will be completed.
  16. INVESTIGATIONS INTO THE DEATH OF MR. KHAHLISO
    SORO.

    Hon. M. Lemphane – Letsie (PR): To ask the Minister of Local
    Government, Chieftainship, Home Affairs and Police, to shed some
    light to this Honourable House on the following regarding
    investigations into the death of one Mr Khahliso Soro who was found
    deceased following his appearance before the Public Accounts
    Committee (PAC), and who worked in the Department of Home
    Affairs;
    (i) progress so far in the investigations; and
    (ii) whether a case for murder might be lodged in the Courts
    of Law any time soon.
  17. INFORMATION REGARDING ESSENTIAL UTILITIES IN
    KOLO CONSTITUENCY.

    Hon. M. C. Tekane (Phoqoane) : To ask the Minister of Natural
    Resources, to say how soon action will be taken on the following:
    (i) provision of electricity to the villages in Kolo Constituency as
    not a single village has electricity even though they formed an
    electrification schemes as far back as 2015;

    (ii) provision of electricity to Moleka villages which were sidelined
    in the provision of electricity;
    (iii) re-opening of Kolo Diamond Mine; and
    (iv) provision of potable water to the villages of Mahareng, Reise, Ha
    Lekeba and Boleka, Likhetleng.
  18. REHABILITATION OF BADLY DETERIORATED ROAD.
    Hon. Prof. N. Mahao (PR) : To ask the Minister of Public Works and
    Transport, if he is aware that the road from Ha Takalimane, Mazenod,
    which serves the villages of Tlebere, Leqhetsoana and Katu, Mokema
    and on to Ha Khoeli, Maholong, Nkoeng and Motlepu, leading to the
    main (tarred) Roma road at Ha Moitšupeli, has badly deteriorated; and
    if the Minister is aware, how soon the road will be rehabilitated and
    bridges along its length be repaired in places such as Mabung, Mokema,
    Chesi and Ha Rampoetsi.
  19. APPOINTMENT OF TEACHERS TO TWO SCHOOLS.
    Hon. M. C. Tekane (Phoqoane) : To ask the Minister of Education and
    Training, if he is aware that:
    (i) despite Hope High School being one of the top performing
    schools, having recently ranked no.2 in the whole country,
    and earning its pride of place in Mafeteng District, it
    remains without a single teacher on the Government
    payroll; and
    (ii) Bochabela Primary School does not have sufficient
    teachers leading to some teachers being compelled to
    teach two (2) grades at once; and despite the school having
    satisfied all the requirements of the Ministry of Education
    and Training;
    and if the Minister is aware, how soon teachers will be appointed to the
    two schools.
  20. REHABILITATION OF ROADS AND CONSTRUCTION OF
    FOOTBRIDGE: PHOQOANE CONSTITUENCY.

    Hon. M. C. Tekane (Phoqoane) : To ask the Minister of Public Works
    and Transport, if he is aware that :
    (i) the road which branches off at Motsekuoa and goes
    through the villages of Mahareng, Malimong, Raliopelo
    and Reisi to Kolo, Ha Ntsie was identified for
    rehabilitation in the Tenth Parliament but to-date no work
    has begun and the residents continue to carry their
    deceased on stretchers;
    (ii) the road that branches off at Mathebe, through the village
    of Tanka, Boleka and on to Ha- Ranthethi has been
    rendered unusable due to torrential rains; and
    (iii) there is a need for foot-bridges to facilitate easy access to
    schools between:
    (1) Noka-Ntšo and Ramokoatsi Primary School;
    (2) Ha Setenane and Samaria Primary School and
    Makaota High School;
    (3) Ha – Mafeto to Tanke Primary School;
    (4) Ha- Kotsoana to Likhetleng Primary School; and
    (5) Ha Oni to Matlapeng Primary School;

    and if so, how soon the Minister will intervene.
