51. PROVISION OF ELECTRICITY.

Hon. L. Hlapisi (’Maliepetsane): To ask the Minister of Natural Resources, if he is aware that the community of Takalatsa are still without electricity despite having formed an electrification scheme, and that this has led to four (4) families in the village resorting to paying for the electrification of their households themselves; which might lead to conflict amongst the scheme members; and if so, how soon the Minister will intervene.

  • NEED TO STOP DESTRUCTION OF CROP FIELDS

Hon. M. Phiri (PR): To ask the Minister of Local Government, Chieftainship, Home Affairs and Police, if he is aware of the following:

  • that the sand merchants who quarry for sand at the rivers of Tebe-tebe and Phuthiatsana using dump trucks have caused the degradation of roads that lead  to the crop fields in the quarry area; and that this has caused a great inconvenience to the crop farmers;
  • that the use of heavy machinery used to unbog trucks stuck in the roads has resulted in ditches in the roads that have since not been attended to; and
  • this has led to the sand merchants having to now resort to driving their trucks on individually owned crop fields causing extensive damage to them; and if the Minister is aware, how soon he will intervene.
  • NEED FOR WATER AND ELECTRICITY: AND RE-OPENING        OF KOLO DIAMOND MINE.

Hon. M. C. Tekane (Phoqoane): To ask the Minister of Natural Resources, if he is aware that:

  • the Constituency of Phoqoane is still without potable water and electricity; and
  • the diamond mine in Kolo has ceased its operations and needs to be re-opened for the benefit of the Kolo area and Mafeteng District communities; and if so, how soon the Minister will intervene.

61.DEFICIENCY OF ESSENTIAL SERVICES.

Hon. T. Lekitla (Mekaling): To ask the Minister of Justice, Law and Parliamentary Affairs, if she is aware that the Lesotho Correctional Service (LCS) does not have a Juvenile Detention Facility and  a women’s Correctional Center in the Southern region (Mafeteng to Qacha’s nek); and if so, how soon the facilities will be established in a central area, preferably in the Mohale’s Hoek district given its geographical location to help the LCS to fulfil their daily operations.

62.UNPAID TERMINAL BENEFITS.

Hon. L. Adontši (Mokhotlong): To ask the Minister of Education and Training, if he is aware that ’Malebitso Sakoane, who worked at Khubelu Primary School and went on retirement in June, 2022 has todate not been paid her terminal benefits; and if so, how soon the Minister will intervene as ’Malebitso Sakoane is of ill health and lives with her grandchildren.

63. NEED FOR A ROAD.

Hon. M. Ramakalima (Malingoaneng): To ask the Minister of Public Works and Transport, if he is aware that between Hloohaneng tsa Matebele and Phepheng, Matsoku there are six(6) villages in which there are no roads and the villages are currently serviced by just a cart track; and if so, how soon a road will be built.

64.LACK OF TRANSPORTATION FOR LMPS IN MOHALE’S

     HOEK.

Hon. T. Lekitla (Mekaling): To ask the Minister of Local Government, Chieftainship, Home Affairs and Police, if he is aware that the Lesotho Mounted Police Service (LMPS) in the district of Mohale’s Hoek has only one unroadworthy vehicle and two unhealthy horses to service the whole district as their mandate; and if so, how soon the Minister will provide more vehicles for the district as is the communities are currently not getting essential services by LMPS. 

65.UNFUNCTIONING STREET LIGHTS IN THABA-TSEKA.

Hon. R. Ramone (PR): To ask the Minister of Local Government, Chieftainship, Home Affairs and Police, if he is aware that the street lights in Thaba-Tseka town have been dysfunctional for approximately three years; and if so, how soon the Minister will intervene.

66.PROVISION OF ELECTRICITY.

Hon. R. Ramone (PR): To ask the Minister of Natural Resources, if he is aware that the villages of Ha Laka, Kolberg and Ha Majara, which form part of the Thaba-Tseka City Council, have to-date not been provided with electricity; and if so, how soon he will intervene. 

67.REHABILITATION OF ROAD.

Hon. L. J. Adontši (Mokhotlong): To ask the Minister of Public Works and Transport, if he is aware of the extensive damage rendered on the road from Mokhotlong town to Sanqebethu which has so many potholes that a journey which used to take a few minutes now lasts a few hours; and if so, how soon the Minister will intervene.

68.INSUFFICIENT UTILITIES AT MOHLOMI HOSPITAL.

Hon. M. Seatile (PR):  To ask the Minister of Health, to state the measures the ministry will take to facilitate sufficient supply of the following items at Mohlomi Hospital. 

  • beds/bunkers,
  • blankets,
  • food supplies,
  • warm water for bathing, 
  • and to address the general cleanliness of the place to ensure proper hygiene. 

69.PROVISION OF POTABLE WATER.

Hon. M. Seatile (PR): To ask the Minister of Natural Resources, if he is aware of the need for potable water in the village of Ha Moeletsi, Mpharane where the community draws water from a dam which they share with animals; and also in the village of Masite where repairs need to be made to the water pump that pumps water to the taps in the village; and if the Minister is aware, how soon he will intervene.

70.UNPAID TERMINAL BENEFITS FOR RETIRED MINISTRY      WORKERS

Hon. L. J. Adontši (Mokhotlong): To ask the Minister of Education and Training, if he is aware that the following officers who were assigned to different districts have to-date not been paid their terminal benefits:

71.PROVISION OF WATER.

Hon. M. Ramakalima (Malingoaneng): To ask the Minister of Natural Resources, if he is aware that water pipes to the villages of Tloha-rebue and Malingoaneng, as well as Masakong, Ha Sotane-Sephokong and surrounding villages were damaged by constructors who were working on roads in the area; and if so, how soon the Minister will intervene. 

72.RECONSTRUCTION OF ROAD. 

Hon. L. Hlapisi (’Maliepetsane):  To ask the Minister of Local Government, Chieftainship, Home Affairs and Police, if he is aware that the main road from Ha ’Mantšeli to Malea-lea has been so badly damaged that it is almost unusable; and if so, how soon the road will be repaired as it serves many villages including Botšoela, Sebelekoane and Ha Motaba.

73.NEED TO REPAIR CLASSROOMS.

Hon. L. Hlapisi (’Maliepetsane):  To ask the Minister of Education and Training, if he is aware that classrooms at Ribaneng Primary School are dilapidated and require urgent renovation; and if so, how soon the classrooms will be refurbished.

74.NEED FOR A COMMUNICATIONS TOWER.

Hon. M. Ramakalima (Malingoaneng): To ask the Minister of Information, Communications, Science, Technology and  Innovation, if he is aware of the need for a communications tower in the villages of Makhoaba, St. Martha to serve the villages of Semenanyana, Sekiring, Mahesheleng, Makhiseng, Masalla,  Hohobeng, and others in the vicinity. 

75.RECONSTRUCTION OF ROADS.

Hon. M. Mosoeunyane (PR): To ask the Minister of Local Government, Chieftainship, Home Affairs and Police, if he is aware that subsidiary roads to the following villages in Matala Constituency are totally unusable:

  • Bosofo
  • ’Nelese
  • Masianokeng and
  • Mafikaneng; and if so, how soon the Minister will intervene.

76.PROVISION OF CAR LICENCES/RENEWALS AT POST

    OFFICES.

Hon. M. Masoetsa(PR): To ask the Minister of Public Works and Transport, to work with relevant ministries to facilitate the provision and issuing of car licences and their renewals in post offices throughout the country.

77.CONSTRUCTION OF TARRED ROADS IN BUTHA-BUTHE       URBAN COUNCIL.

Hon. M. Motoboli(PR): To ask the Minister of Public Works and Transport, if he is aware of the need to construct tarred roads to make access to the town of Butha-Buthe easier for communities of the following villages which form part of Butha-Buthe Urban Council:

  • Belo
  • Pholonamane
  • Makopo
  • Likhutlong
  • Tlokoeng
  • Ha Sechele and (vii) Lipelaneng.

78.NEED FOR POTABLE WATER.

Hon. K. Mabeleng (Hloahloeng): To ask Minister of Natural Resources, if he is aware of the need to provide the following villages in the region of ’Maletsunyane and Ha –Bolae, respectively, with potable water:

Hon. H. Van Rooyen (PR): To ask the Minister of Local Government, Chieftainship, Home Affairs and Police, if he is aware that the roads at Khubetsoana, LeCoop, become unusable when it rains heavily; and if so, how soon the Minister will intervene.

80.MONTHLY GRANTS FOR THE DISABLED.

Hon. M. Malakane (PR):  To ask the Minister of Gender, Youth, Sports, Arts, Culture and Social Development, to say how soon disabled people will begin to receive monthly grants in order to improve the quality of their lives.

81.RECONSTRUCTION OF COLLAPSED FOOTBRIDGES.

Hon. M. S. Lehata (Makhaleng): To ask the Minister in the Prime

Minister’s Office, to say how soon the footbridges which were destroyed by floods of the following places will be rebuilt:

  • Ha Ramabanta
  • Ha Koenyane
  • Kubake
  • Liseleng 

82.FACTORY WORKERS’ SALARY INCREMENT.

Hon. K. Mosotho (PR): To ask the Minister of Public Service, Labour and Employment, if he is aware that factory workers earn extremely low wages; and if so, how soon the Government will revise the legal instrument on minimum wages of factory workers. 

83.RECONSTRUCTION OF ABIA ROAD.

Hon. T. J. Makhalanyane (Abia): To ask the Minister of Local Government, Chieftainship, Home Affairs and Police, if he is aware that works had begun on the main Abia Constituency road with the intention to repair it over three (3) years ago, but to-date, the road remains with potholes and dug trenches as the works were not completed; and if so, how soon the Minister will intervene.

84.REHABILITATION OF HA MOUTLOANYANA TO KHUBELU

     ROAD.

Hon. T. J. Makhalanyane (Abia): To ask the Minister of Local Government, Chieftainship, Home Affairs and Police, if he is aware that there were plans to rehabilitate the road from Ha Moutlanyana, which goes through Tsieng, and on to Khubelu; and if so, how soon the road will be rehabilitated and upgraded to tarmac as it serves a very large number of road users.

85.REPAIR  OF GUTTERS IN KHUBETSOANA.

Hon. H. Van Rooyen (PR): To ask the Minister of Local Government, Chieftainship, Home Affairs and Police, he is aware that the gutters at Khubetsoana LeCoop are filled with filth and also overflow on to the roads, placing the lives of road users at risk, including children who might fall into the always full gutters; and if so, how soon the Minister will make a strategy for dealing with this problem. 

86.REFURBISHMENT OF BUTHA-BUTHE GOVERNMENT

     HOSPITAL.

Hon. M. Motoboli (PR): To ask the Minister of Natural Resources, if  he is aware that the deficiency in the water system/network at Butha-

Buthe Government Hospital has placed the hospital’s daily operations at risk as patients, including expectant women and new mothers cannot receive proper care due to the scarcity of water.

87.NEED FOR ELECTRICITY.

Hon. K. Pholosa (Butha-Buthe): To ask the Minister of Natural Resources, if he is aware, that the factory buildings in Butha-Buthe, as well as nearby villages including Lihlabeng, Ha Majara, Ha Belo, Lerobane and other areas in the outskirts of Butha-Buthe Urban Council remain to-date without electricity; and if so, how soon the Minister will intervene.

88.NEED TO CONTROL GROUNDWATER AT TŠIFA-LI-MALI      LOCAL COURT.

Hon. R. Ramaisa (PR): To ask the Deputy Prime Minister and Minster of Justice, Law and Parliamentary Affairs, if she is aware that at the Tšisa-Li-Mali Local Court there is a lot of ground water that seeps up on to the premises, especially in times of rain, and overflows on to the households in the vicinity, in the process causing damage to privately owned property; and if so, how soon the Minister will intervene. 

89.INFORMATION REGARDING HIS MAJESTY’S TRIP TO       CÔTE D’IVOIRE.

Hon. M. Mofomobe (PR): To ask the Minister of Foreign Affairs, to say whether the private jet belonging to the Prime Minister was leased by the Government to transport His Majesty King Letsie III on his official trip to Côte d’Ivoire; and if so, can the Minister disclose the cost of the trip to the Government and whether this might not compromise the integrity of His Majesty’s Office and his image.

90.REHABILITATION OF ROAD.

Hon. M. Lempe (Kolonyama): To ask the Minister of Public Works and Transport, if he is aware that even though the gravel road from Peka, Ha Kotola which passes through Kenya, Liphokoeng and Ha Mokhoro to Pobeng was recently repaired by the Member for Peka Constituency, it was not re-graveled   and is being washed away by heavy rains; and if the Minster is aware, how soon gravel will be used to repair the road.

91.REPAIR TO DAMAGED ROAD.

Hon. M. Lempe (Kolonyama): To ask the Minister of Public Works and Transport, if he is aware that the gravel road from Peka bridge that goes through the villages of Ha Moqathinyane, Ha Leboea, Ha Senyete, Ha Mohlokaqala, Ha Matala, Ha Molelle, Ha Rakobeli and Ha Rakolo is badly damaged and needs renovation; and if so, how soon the Minister will intervene and consider upgrading the road to tarmac.

92.REGISTRATION OF ECCDS.

Hon. M. Malakane (PR): To ask the Minister of Education and Training, if he is aware that Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) Schools are required by law to be registered to make monitoring easy; and also that most of these schools are housed in the proprietors’ households; and if so, how soon the Minister will ensure that business land is granted to these schools so that they meet registration requirements.

93.VEHICLES FOR KETANE AND PHAMONG POLICE POSTS.

Hon. M. ’Muso (PR): To ask the Minister of Local Government, Chieftainship, Home Affairs and Police, if he is aware of the need to provide vehicles to the Ketane and Phamong Police Posts as they have absolutely no means of transport (not even a horse) to perform duties in their jurisdiction such as providing security and safety to the communities, particularly during busy periods such as the Christmas holidays when crime is rife; and if so, how soon vehicles will be provided to enable the police to respond quickly to reports of crime, to educate communities on matters of self-policing and to prevent crime before it occurs.

94.AID FOR DISASTER STRICKEN FAMILIES.

Hon. M. Motoboli (PR): To ask the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office, if he is aware of the disaster that befell five (5) families at Makopo, Butha-Buthe where strong winds and lightening destroyed their homes; and if so, how soon the Minister will intervene as the families are unable to repair their homes themselves and remain in a precarious situation.

The affected families are those of:

  • ’M’e Tšepiso Mpofu 
  • ’Makori Morena and (iii)  Monghali Tukula; whose windows were destroyed by lightening:

          (iv)    ’Mamatsukoane Moleko            (v)    ’Matebo Moleko    destroyed by strong winds:

95.RIGHT HONOURABLE THE PRIME MINISTER’S TRIP TO THE       UNITED STATES OF AMERICA (USA) AND THAILAND.

Hon. M. Mofomobe (PR): To ask the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office, to shed some light to this Honourable House on whether the private jet belonging to the Prime Minister was hired by the Government to transport the Rt. Honourable the Prime Minister to the US and Thailand; and if so, at what cost to the Government; and to also say how many people accompanied Prime Minister  and provide their names; and finally shed some light on the cost of air tickets and (perdiems) for those accompanying the P.M. 

96.NEED TO REPAIR ’MANTŠELI TO MALEALEA LODGE ROAD.

Hon. M. Taole (PR): To ask the Minster of Public Works and Transport, if he is aware that the main road from Ha ’Mantšeli to Malealea was badly damaged by torrential rains and use of the road by vehicles has become difficult; and  this has led to the public no longer being able to complete their journeys with ease, and if so, can the Minster say how soon this beneficial road used by a large number of villages with businesses, schools, churches, health centers including Malealea Health Center, as well as tourist attraction venues such a Malea-lea Lodge and others will be repaired.

97.UPGRADING OF ROAD.

Hon. M. Masoetsa (PR): To ask the Minister of Public Works and Transport to say how soon he will upgrade to tarmac the road from Van Rooyens gate to Litšoeneng, Ha Seeiso which runs in both Qalabane and Thaba-Phechela Contituencies to join the tarred road at Tšakholo, leading to Mafeteng town, as this road was in the 2002 plan, but the money was diverted to the Koro-koro to Mahlabatheng road.

98.UPGRADING OF MAIN GRAVEL ROADS AND RE-       CONSTRUCTION OF NECESSITY BRIDGES.

Hon. T. Lekitla (Mekaling): To ask the Minister of Public Works and Transport, if he is aware that the main gravel road from Mesitsaneng to Maphutseng via Ntabanyane, Ha Makhabane to Ha Mootsinyane has totally been washed away by heavy rain-falls and bridges along the Maphutseng, Senqu river which facilitate easy access to the valley of Maphutseng, and more importantly connects different villages to

Mootsinyane Health Center have also been washed away by the Maphutseng river; and if so, how soon rehabilitation and contruction of main gravel roads- Mesitsaneng-Mootsinyane, Mootsinyane – Ha

Lelinyane, Mootsinyane – Monyaneng, Holy Cross – Mok’hopha, Braakfontein – Ha Rakoloi via Fako to Ramoloti as well as construction of all collapsed bridges along Maphutseng and Senqu Rivers will be made. 

99.PROVISION OF ELECTRICITY.

Hon. M. Hlalele (Thaba- Phechela): To ask the Minister of Natural Resources, to say how soon electricity will be provided to the following villages:

  • Ha Thoahlane
  • Sekameng
  • Ha Lenonyane
  • Ha Maine
  • Ha Mokhasi
  • Ha Makintane
  • Mapotu
  • Tebang and
  • Ha Rabeneng.

100.VILLAGE IN DIRE NEED OF ELECTRICITY SUPPLY.

Hon. M. Hlalele (Thaba- Phechela): To ask the Minister of Natural Resources, if he is aware that the residents of Ha Tang established an electrification scheme a long time ago, but to-date they have not been assisted; and if so, how soon the Minister will intervene.

101.REQUEST FOR ELECTRICITY- HLOAHLOENG        CONSTITUENCY.

Hon. K. Mabeleng (Hloahloeng): To sak the Minister of Natural Resources, if he is aware that Hloahloeng Constituency is probably the only constituency country-wide that does not have a single electricity pylon or pole even though it is a very large constituency which extends from the Ketane region to the Qalabane region; if so, how soon the situation will be redressed.

102.INFORMATION REGARDING SMALL-SCALE MINING.

Hon. Dr. L.T. Lipholo (PR): To ask the Minister of Natural Resources, to say how soon small-scale miners (bacheki ba peke le kharafu) will be allocated prospection sites to advance the previous Governments’ initiative of alleviating povetty.

103.REWARD AND FULL-TIME EMPLOYMENT FOR  CARE-

       GIVERS. 

Hon. M. Malakane (PR): To ask the Minister of Education and Training, if he is aware that care-givers at home-based-care facilities for vulnerable children are mostly volunteers who do not receive any rewards for the job and whenever they get more lucrative job offers they abandon their tasks hence the poor performance of these facilities; and if so, how soon these care-givers will be offered proper employment by the Government.

104.TERMINAL BENEFITS FOR RETIRED TEACHER. 

Hon. M. Senauoane (PR): To ask the Minister of Education and Training, if he is aware that  Moeketse Lechebe (Employment No. 0050360) who worked as a teacher at Mohlanapeng High School (Reg. No. 220002) went on retirement in 2019 but to-date has not received her retirement her retirement benefits; and if so, how soon the Minister will intervene.

105.REHABILITATION OF ROADS.

Hon. H. Van Rooyen (PR): To ask the Minister of Local Government, Chieftainship, Home Affairs and Police, if he is aware of the lack of proper roads as Sebapala, Quthing which greatly inconveniences the residents; and  that there is also a need for bridges at Qomoqong to aid travel, especially in times of rain; and if so, how soon the Minister will intervene.

106.NEED TO AFFIX RECEPTION CLASSES TO ALL PRIMARY

       SCHOOLS.

Hon. M. Makhalanyane (PR): To ask the Minister of Education and Training, if he is aware that of the 1436 primary schools in the country, only 214 have reception classes; and if the Minister is aware, how soon reception classes will be attached to all schools; and teachers for those classes be added to the Ministry’s pay-roll in order that quality early childhood education can spread throughout the country. 

107.REPAIR OF KOLONYAMA – HA KANETSI ROAD.

Hon. M. Lempe (Kolonyama): To ask the Minister of Public Works and Transport, if he is aware that the gravel  road from Kolonyama, which goes past the villages of Maqasane, Manganeng, Ha Ntsekele and Fobane – through to Lekhalong, Ha Qamo, past Ha-Kanetsi and on to the tarred road from Mapoteng needs to be rehabilitated, as this road does not only serve a large number of villages but also joins the constituencies of Kolonyama, Peka and Bela-Bela; and if so, how soon the Minister will intervene.

  1. PROVISION OF A BOAT.

Hon. M. ’Muso (PR): To ask the Minister of Public Works and

Transport, if he is aware that there is need for  a boat at Potomane, Lekhalong in Phamong Constituency as the boat that was used before was swept away by water in the year 2021; and if he is aware, how soon he will intervene.

  1. DAMAGED ROAD IN SEMONKONG.

Hon. P. Kelane (’Maletsunyane): To ask the Minister of Local Government, Chieftainship, Home Affairs and Police, whether it has come to his attention that the road from Semonkong to Ha-seng needs urgent repairs since  now the vehicles have to trespass through the field; and if so, how soon  the road will be repaired.

  1. SUPPLY OF WATER AT LIPHIRING AND MOFUMAHALI OA

        ROSARY CLINICS.

        Hon. M. Matsie (Taung): To ask the Minister of Health to shed some         light on  the following:

  • how soon Liphiring Clinic will be supplied with potable  water as currently the clinic is unable to offer maternity services
    • the time when an additional cleaner will be hired as there is only one cleaner, and when she is absent there is no one to carry out her duties, 
    • how soon the clinic will get electricity supply and
    • how soon the water tap at Mofumahali oa Rosary which has not functioned since May, 2022, will be repaired
  • VILLAGES IN DIRE NEED OF WATER:  PITSENG.

Hon. M. Ntšekhe (Mphosong): To ask the Minister of Natural Resources, if  he is aware that Pitseng and surrounding villages have no supply of water and that the people from these villages have to draw and fetch unsanitary water which could be hazardous to people from very distant places; and if he is aware how soon he will intervene.

112.REHABILITATION OF ROAD AND CONSTRUCTION OF A         BRIDGE: MATLAMENG .

Hon. M. Ntšekhe (Mphosong): To ask the Minister of Public Works and Transport, if he is aware that the road between Romeng and Ha Koasa in Mphosong Constituency is damaged to the extent that it is no longer usable; and also that there is no bridge at Morotong River and as a result vehicles have to drive through the running river all the time; and if so, how soon the road will be repaired and the bridge be built.

113.NEED FOR CLEAN WATER AT MPHOSONG CLINIC.

Hon. M. Ntšekhe (Mphosong): To ask the Minister of Natural Resources if he is aware that the only clinic at Mphosong Constituency has unsafe and unsanitary water because solar panels and batteries were stolen and the water tank destroyed, thereby causing rain water to flow into the tank and contaminate clean water causing illness to users; and if he is aware, how soon he will intervene.

114. NEED FOR WATER.

Hon. A. Tšoanamatsie (PR): To ask the Minister of Natural Resources, if he is aware that a number of villages in Maputsoe are without water and the firm (JLK) which was engaged to supply water to the villages has failed to do the job; and if so, how soon those villages will have a proper supply of water and JLK be held accountable.

115.CONSTUCTION OF BRIDGE AT TOMOSOLO STREAM.

Hon. M. Mpobole (PR): To ask the Minister of Local Government, Chieftainship, Home Affairs and Police, if he is aware that  Tomosolo Stream near the village at Ha Rantuba in Peka Constituency has no bridge for use by the residents of Ha Rantuba and Maphutse when the river is overflowing; and if so, how soon the bridge will be built.

Hon. M. Mpobole (PR): To ask the Minister of Natural Resources, to say how soon  the following villages will be provided with electricity:

  • Marana
  • Tsea
  • Motako
  • Hlanami
  • Ramohapi
  • Mosamo (vii) Malebo.

117.AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE GOVERNMENT OF        LESOTHO AND UNIVERSITY OF MALAYSIA.

Hon. M. Hloaele (Maliba-Matšo):  To ask the Minister of Education and Training, if he is aware that there is an Agreement between the Government of Lesotho and the University of Malaysia with regards to the establishment of a Medical school in the country; and if he is aware, can he enlighten the House on the following:

  • persons  who made up the delegation that was sent to Malaysia before the Agreement was entered into, and who covered the expenses the delegation,  and
  • whether advice was sought from the Attorney General regarding the said Agreement and what the advice was;
  • what  the repercussions are likely to be if the agreement falls through; and
  • whether the establishment of the school will mean that other institutions will be barred from offering nursing and medicine instruction.

118.NEED FOR WATER AT LIVESTOCK OFFICES BEREA.

Hon. M. Maeea (PR): To ask the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, if it has come to his attention that the toilets at the Department of Livestock, Ty Resource Center in Berea district  are not working due to lack of water in that area; and if so, how soon water will be available. 

119.DAMAGED ROADS AT TAUNG CONSTITUENCY.

Hon. M. Matsie (PR): To ask the Minister of Public Works and Transport, if he is aware that the following roads in Taung Constituency have been damaged by heavy rains; 

  • Takalatsa to Liphiring and Ha Thekiso
  • Ha Mahase to Qhalasi
  • Siloe Post Office to Qhoqhoane
  • Ha Moeletsi to Mooko and Tjama Popolosi
  • Lithotseleng to Linareng
  • Phutha-li-chaba to Matsatseng
  • Montšo to Lehloaneng, Ha Moshale

6 km road from Montšo to Sephapho;

                and if so, how soon the Minister will intervene.

120.TARRED ROADS CONSTRUCTION FROM HA NQABENI TO

       LINAKENG.

Hon. M. Motoboli (PR):  To ask the Minister of Public Works and Transport, if he is aware that the following communities/villages:

  • Ha Nqabeni
    • Ha Mopeli
    • Ha Selomo,
    • Sekubung and
    • Linakeng; 

are in need of tarred roads as the transport services are very difficult to access for the people living in those communities; and if so, how soon tarred roads will be constructed.

121.INCOMPETENT WORKER PUT IN CHARGE OF

       INCINERATOR. 

Hon. M. Mpobole (PR): To ask the Minister of Health, if he is aware that the life of Mr. Mokoteli Letuka, who started working on 08/12/2022 as the officer in charge of the incinerator at Motebang Hospital; who is responsible for the incineration of medical waste and body parts is in peril due to the following reasons:

  • absence of protective clothing for the job;
    • no formal training in the handling of this type of waste to prevent possible harm to himself, to other hospital workers and to the public; and 
    • lack of knowledge on operating the incinerator in order to protect it from damage and ensure its longevity;

and if so, how soon the Minister will intervene
